Preparing for Your First Personal Training Session

Congratulations on taking the first step toward your health and fitness goals! To help you feel prepared and confident, here’s what you can expect in your first session and how to get ready.

What to Expect

Your first personal training session is all about getting to know you, your goals, and your current fitness level. Here’s a general outline of what will happen:

Initial Consultation & Goal Setting – We'll discuss your health history, fitness experience, and what you hope to achieve.
Movement Assessment – Expect simple movement tests to assess flexibility, balance, and strength.
Workout Introduction – You’ll go through a light, guided workout so we can see how you move and determine the right starting point for you.
Q&A & Next Steps – We’ll answer any questions and set a game plan for your fitness journey.

How to Prepare

To get the most out of your session, here’s what you should do before arriving:

🔹 Wear Comfortable Athletic Clothing – Choose breathable, flexible clothing and well-supported training shoes.
🔹 Bring Water & a Towel – Staying hydrated is key, and a towel can be handy if you sweat easily.
🔹 Eat a Light Meal 60–90 Minutes Before – A balanced snack with protein and carbs can help fuel your workout.
🔹 Come With an Open Mind – Every fitness journey starts somewhere, and we’re here to help you progress at the right pace.
🔹 Communicate Any Injuries or Concerns – If you have any past injuries or limitations, let your trainer know so we can modify exercises accordingly.
